Event Overview

Please note, this two-day workshop takes place on Thursdays, August 19 + 26 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm each night.

Create your own custom cutting board in this two-day workshop! The class will lead you through the process of making your own wood cutting board from a variety of hardwood remnants. In the first session, participants will design their board pattern, laminate, and clamp their board together. The class will regroup for the second session to saw, plane, and shape their chopping board. Participants will learn the proper care of wood cutting boards and apply Perennial’s food safe and homemade wood wax to keep their boards in good condition.

This is an in-person class that will take place at Perennial. You will be assigned your own socially distanced work station, and will be required to wear a mask while you are here. Our full policies can be found here.

I enjoyed learning and using the table saw and chop saw, having plenty of wood to choose from for my cutting board, and receiving plenty of instruction as needed. Great workshop!
