Does your favorite sweater or pair of pants have one too many holes or stains? Hand embroidery stitches add interesting details and texture to worn or damaged fabrics. Kami, artist and teacher, will guide the class through a series of basic hand embroidery techniques to embellish, mend, and upcycle clothing and other types of fabric.
Participants will leave with a basic stitch sampler showcasing the running stitch, backstitch, french knots, chain stitch, scatter stitch, cross stitch and satin stitch. Bring in your own item to mend or simply embellish!
