threading the machine, threading the bobbin, machine stitches, sewing darts, taking a seam in and out
Is the waist of your pants too big? Do you need to let out the side seams of your favorite shirt? With a few minor alterations, Stephanie of Ruby Francis Clothing will lead the class through the basics of using the sewing machine to alter clothing for a better fit. Participants should bring in a few pieces of clothing to tailor during class. A few examples of items to bring include dresses, shirts, skirts, and pants.
