An apron is a handy tool to have around in the kitchen, garden or even the craft studio. Without the need for tailoring, aprons are a great introductory sewing project for beginners. The class will go over the basic functions of the sewing machine, from threading the machine, to winding up a bobbin, and adjusting the tension. You’ll learn to work from a pattern as well as tips on hemming and sewing curved lines. Each participant will apply the techniques covered in class to create a simple apron from reclaimed fabrics. A DIY apron is a great handmade gift for your foodie friends!
