Waxed Canvas Tote Bag
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
Learn how to wax canvas with local beeswax to create water and weather resistant fabrics! Jenny Murphy, Director of Perennial, will show you how to transform beeswax from honeycomb to refined wax and share step-by-step instructions on how to create your own waxed fabric. Participants will use a sewing machine to turn their waxed canvas into a reusable tote bag! Canvas is a tough, plain woven fabric with a degree of water resistance by itself, and waxing it further improves its water resistance, making it (depending on the use and construction) waterproof.
