Event Overview

Learn how to create your own handmade laundry soap using your old coconut cooking oils!  Discover the necessary safety measures and protective gear needed to handle lye solution for soapmaking. The instructor will show you how to make a DIY soap mold from used milk cartons or box soup containers. Watch the stages of soap making demonstrated, as oils are measured, mixed with lye solution and poured into the mold. Stop by the shop before the class to grab a sample of soap for you to try yourself before making your own!


This is a virtual demonstration only class that will be conducted via Zoom. Participants will be emailed information on how to participate prior to the class. You may pick up a sample on Thursday – Friday, March 11-12 from 11a-5pm.
