Learn to whittle your own hooks and needles from salvaged wood! In this workshop, you’ll get hands on practice with a spoke shave, carving knife, rasp, file, clamps, hand plane, and belt sander to carve and shape wood into either a crochet hook, a pair of knitting needles and/or a tapestry needle. I brought my 13 year old grand daughter in for this class. It was fabulous. The instructor, Theresa, was so good at guiding her while giving her the opportunity to make her own decisions. She learned how to use the tools and was so proud of the crochet hooks and needles she made. I recommend this class for adults and children.
